KG Resigner doesn't even attempt it and just tells me to update the games conf file which shows this game as unprotected. Meanwhile, Bruteforce decrypt option is grayed out and about all I can do is unlock the file to work on all PS3's but this just causes my system to warn me that I can't unlock trophies playing with this save (It's not bluffing either I tested it)

At this point either I'm just dropping the ball or this has to be a known issue. A hash key for this game seems to be the easiest work around, or if someone stumbled on a way to defeat the dreaded unprotected key problem then by all means please give me your advice because I've been playing with sfo editors for hours now and notta.

Have you tried to make a fresh save, then copy and paste everything EXCEPT THE SFO from the "Hack file" into your fresh save?

I have not, but I'll give it a shot. To confirm my understanding you mean to make a copy of my save data, but then copy over each file from the hack folder into my folder except the sfo right?

Yes... Make a fresh save, then copy all files inside the Hack save except for the SFO. Now paste all of those files inside of your "Fresh Save" and choose yes when asked if you want to replace the xx files.

I still cannot resign it even after doing that. Also, just to test I tried to play the file as is after transferring all but the sfo file to my fresh save it gives me a corrupt error.

Well in that case you can either message SHAkA or another key finder, or you can buy Game Genie because you don't need a games.conf file to resign with that program.

just another option here but KG has a hard time with unprotected saves...one, just rebuild profile without decrypting with bruteforce...2 just like bigtrain said but only do the data saves not the PNG, SFO, and PFD and try again without resigning just make sure its the same region ....last time i messed with unprotected games i just rebuilt the profile and all was good on my end with bruteforce...
