What is MAG ?
Mag is an online first person shooter MASSIVE ACTION GAME that holds 256 soldiers in one BATTLE!
MAG joins Warhawk as the other "online only" multiplayer shooter for the PS3
MAG IS A GAME THAT COMBINES MW2, SOCOM, KILLZONE 2 AND WARHAWK

MAG VS MW2
I have few things to say to the people who think that they can compare MAG with MW2
People please understand that MW2 is different than MAG 360 degree from the GAMEPLAY experience
MW2 is a game where 1 person can make his team win, meanings any solo player can win a game without team work, more like " run 'n' shoot " game
MAG is somthing different, It is more like tactical game than " run 'n' shoot ", The key of the game is for the squad leader having the mic and giving orders, Meanings if you don't follow your squad leaders orders you'll end up with the bullet in your head and loosing the match which leads to " SCREW MAG, MAG SUCKS AND MW2 IS WAY BETTER "
MAG is a game that is not for n00bs who just sprint and stab 10 soldiers in a row with a knife
Each commander has a few tricks to help his team succeed
Sniping is VERY hard in the game where you have to concentrate and feel the enemys move, unlike MW2 where you have to press R1 without zooming from 100 mile away
If you are a " run 'n' shoot " type then i highly recommend you to STAY AWAY FROM MAG and go play MW2 with 10 year old kids
however if you like tactician, teamwork and orders from your squad leader then MAG is the type for YOU!

IT'S LIKE AN FPS CHESS GAME
One of the most important things about MAG is that cooperation in the game
You might thing that the higher you kill the higher chance your team will win, Well no it's not like that
Your team would never win. You'd probably get a bunch of kills, but your team will still loose if you don't cooperate
This is what sets MAG apart from most other modern console shooters
MW2 is a game that attracts 17 year olds and younger
WHY ?
Because there is no teamwork at all!
No cooperation, just run and shoot, forget about your comrades
" who gives a shit if he died or not, all i care about is my score "
The dedicated servers allow you to enjoy the game with aliens who live in Mars, Meanings no LAG AT ALL
Unlike MW2 where you have to join someone from the same country while he's downloading a youtube video which sucks pretty bad.

GRAPHICS
Ok this is a very important note to the people who care about the graphics and specially to these MW2 graphic whores
The games graphics are more like ps2 graphics ( THANK GOD I NEVER CARED ABOUT THE GRAPHICS AT ALL )
So if you care about the graphics and your the type where you insert the disk in your PS3, watch the graphics and say " HEY WHAT THE **** IS THIS CRAP ? WHAT IS THIS LAME GRAPHICS ? " i recommend you to stay away from MAG!
If you don't care about the graphics then your welcomed to the battlefield

SOUND
The game has no music at all where you have to concentrate on the enemies bullet sounds, However when you get a kill streak you'll hear this AWESOME heavy metal music that makes you pump up for more action!
That's the best idea i liked about MAG

ADVICES
1- At first when you enter the game and play you'll think " Hey what the **** is this game ? What am i suppost to do ? " Well my advice is try to reach level 8, Thats where the fun really begins, remember this is not MW2
2- When you buy the game you MUST get a mic to cooperate with your comrades and squad leader
3- Always listen to your squad leader
4- Never ever get close to the enemy territory

Meh, they could have done better on the graphics but 256 people online in one game is badass, no lie. Game is good unless you have a graphics fetish.

xbox still cant hold 64 players never mind 100 so we wont be seeing that for awhile. Good review anyways

graphics are lower end because there is a lot to render..when you consider a game like Prototype which had poor graphics the reason is because these games are taking next get to a new level...consoles never had an open world game with so many onscreen people as prototype before..same goes for MAG...there have never been this many people in a FPS on console before. as well as having to render landscape, vehicles, bunkers, the million explosions, and all the actions of the various things. if they would have made the graphics any better then the FPS would have been very choppy.
