A lot of people are posting the same theories and mixing up the emblem with the COD4 one. The COD4 one, which is shown below is obtained through the Spectre IV challenge completion:

According to 402, this emblem is obtainable in the game without hacking or modding. Proof of him saying this is shown on his Twitter account as well as the pictures below:

So now that you all know what emblem we're looking for, here are some of the THEORIES that people have thought of and proven to be wrong. Also, no one has obtained this emblem without hacking the game.
THEORIES IN THE TRASH:

The game doesn't know the difference between hack and legit.
All Achievements Unlocked: FALSE.

This would take approximately 112 nukes but if you want to be realistic and say 6 kills per game, you would call in about 167 nukes)

Complete all HIDDEN Challenges: Hackers have pretty much found all of the hidden challenges in the game and completed them. The game doesn't consist of many hidden challenges and even if it was a hidden challenge, then modded game lobbies would unlock every challenge despite it being hidden.
So there's the few theories many of us have gone through in order to get this emblem, and thus far, we're pretty much out of luck and ideas. Hackers have looked into the .csv (game codes) to find something that may stand out, and so far the only thing they found is the following:
"level 70 and pr_marksman_ak47_4"
You have to be level 70 to unlock the AK47, unfortunately the Marksmen challenge only goes upto 3 (III), which doesn't help us at all.
It also doesn't have anything to do with any of the DLC content as 402 said that the emblem was obtainable on the PS3 way before the first DLC came out.
Post any new theories you guys have. We're going to find out how to get this emblem!
Also, please refrain from posting theories that have already been proven wrong. We need NEW ones.

Its been shown many times in the PC coding that to unlock it you need AK47 Master IV.
Every gun has Master III after prestiging, originally master IV was how you get it.
however because of the 1st patch, something happened and the challenge was removed.
as AK47 mastery III is 1000 headshots master IV would have been between 2000-5000. most likely 5000. So nobody could have completed that before the 1st patch unless they boosted non-stop all day and night 24/7.
So originally it was possible to earn the emblem legitimately until the 1st patch, however now the game is at such a late stage that it would be very difficult to earn it before blackops, therefore its not been included in a recent patch because no one but boosters would earn it, in such a small time frame. Effectively making including it pointless and a waste of money.

Actually its not that hard to test because you can hack your accolades (and the game doesnt know the difference between hacked and legit stats. :carling:

I've got it - but I've no idea why. I'm not particularly good - I certainly haven't completed all the challenges. I have, however played for over 1000 hours - don't know if that could be related.

One unusual item - my system clock is set to Feb 2010 (because I'm still running the old free RC version of Windows 7). You may have gotten it by mistakenly joining a modded lobby but idk. When you got it did any challenge text appear?

Possible, I guess. I've played a couple of bizarre games recently which must have been hacked lobbies. I don't actually recall being told I'd got this emblem - it was just there when I went to look through my emblems.
