Now What you need is a friend and items you guys want to dupe. You can summon him or he can summon you, doesn't really matter. Now have your friend drop his items, then have him wait for you to pick up the items. NOTICE:The person dropping the items DO NOT LEAVE THE INVENTORY MENUS. After you have picked up the items, your friend may leave, By either going into the XMB and quitting game or upluging his ethernet. There you should have copies of his items he dropped while still having his originals.

The reason why when you are dropping the items and you don't leave is because everytime you back out of the inventory menus it performs a auto-save. Which obviously records that you dropped some items. You can do this with anything you can drop, weapons, armor, items, and etc. Sorry about the Vid, as its not a tut for this, but it shows how it should look like, Im going to try making 1 myself.
