(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); For those of you who are now lucky enough to be back online with your PS3 this is a guide to tell you what to do before doing anything else.

  1. Go to Settings > Date & Time Settings > Change Time > Set Via Internet. Even if your PS3 is showing the correct time this is a important step! (The Month and Year may also be wrong.)
  2. Go to Game > Trophies, Press triangle and select sync with server, this will take a while but is also important because your trophies may have gone corrupt causing you not to earn any trophies or getting syncing errors.
  3. Go to the PlayStation Store and make sure all your content is on your download list, All videos rented that you couldn't watch during the error will not be on the list so call SONY toll free at 1-800-345-7669 and press 0 to get an operator. There may also be games missing if you purchased them right before the crash. NOTE: SONY knows what you bought or not so DO NOT try to get anything free out of this or you will be banned.
  4. After signing in it is also recommended that you eject a disk if there is one in your PS3 and turn the system off by going to Users > Power OFF on the XMB after the PS3 is shut down and you see the red light flip the switch on the back of your PS3 and pull the power cable out for 15 to 30 seconds. It is now safe to turn back on.
  5. Check your Game Saves to make sure they are not corrupt, if you were playing a game and it was saving during the crash your save is most likely corrupt. You will know it is corrupt if it doesn't have an icon and if you try to copy it says failed to copy because the data is corrupt. If the data is corrupt you are forced to delete it, press triangle to get the options to copy and delete.
  6. If your PS3 is still not working try again tomorrow and if it still fails contact SONY at 1-800-345-7669 and press 0 to talk to an operator.

Yours probably will still have to be setup as far as the clocks and such since it was the internal clock that caused this whole thing. I would say set the clock for internet and sync your trophies and such just incase. Better safe than sorry.

For thread starter good post.

wait ok so then only the NGU ps3 owners would know this, which means that eventually this same crisis will occur, wouldnt playstation warn them (the non NGU users)?

its because they had to reset all the servers after the error so some of them are not up yet

I've been reading around the forums and i see that err. 8001050F is a date/time issue, correct ? but recently, around 2 weeks ago, I started getting this error message. Along with this my ps3 stopped reading all ps3 video games. It works when it wants too but recently it's just an EPIC fail. I am getting very very very frustrated and angry Facepalm >:(
