even though Square Enix just launched Final Fantasy XIII a few weeks ago,
there is already a beta application if you filled out the "Product Registration" Paper, above the Final Fantasy XIII Manual.

Dont know much about the release dates or anything, but this was all i was able to figure out, sorry for the lack of info, but i was just wanting to post this for you guys Happy

You must login or register to view this content.

Here is the Application!

Please note: This page is for North American applications ONLY.
For Europe and other PAL regions, please select the relevant option from the beta portal.
The purpose of this site is to recruit dedicated individuals seeking to take part in the Beta Test phase of FINAL FANTASY XIV. Participants will be testing game balance and mechanics prior to the launch of official service, as well as submitting bug reports.

All individuals are invited to apply, regardless of their past MMORPG experience. Before doing so, please take the time to read through the below information.

Applicants must fulfill all of the following requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a Square Enix ID account
* Click here to register for a Square Enix ID account.
- Possess an internet connection
- Be capable of downloading large amounts of data
- Be capable of submitting bug reports in either Japanese, English, French, or German

Selection of Beta Testers
- Tester selection will be based solely upon the content of applications. Selected individuals will be contacted via e-mail.
* Priority will not be given to applications based on order of submission.
- There will be several rounds of tester selection, with the total number of participants increasing each time.
- Once selected, participants will be able to continue in their role until the end of the Beta Test phase.
- Submitted applications will be considered for each round of tester selections. It is not necessary to reapply.

The Fine Print
* The game to be tested is under development, and may differ significantly from the commercial release.
* If an applicant applies multiple times, only the final application will be valid.
* Inquiries regarding the selection process and/or its results will not be answered.
* For more details, see the FINAL FANTASY XIV Beta Test Application FAQ here.
* If you have received a FINAL FANTASY XIV promotional code for registering FINAL FANTASY XIII on the Square Enix Members site, please use it to apply for the beta test.
* If you have already applied for the FINAL FANTASY XIV beta test but would like to apply for the PlayStation 3 beta with a FINAL FANTASY XIV promotional code, please be aware that all previous applications will be invalidated.
* The promotional code will also be required to obtain the FINAL FANTASY XIV secret in-game item, so please hold on to your code until the game’s official release.

Alpha test started a whole while ago, closed beta testing started already too but they will be having a few more sessions for it!... People who bought FFXIII withing a week of its release got special code that gives you a better chance to be selected for the closed beta testing plus a special In-Game item for the new FF Online.
