yea but how do they bann you like is it sent to your hard drive. your internet. your account. he tried changing his account, changing his hard drive, and changed his internet service.

well he was trash talking in cod4 and i think every1 does tht i mean it fun.

He was prolly IP banned meaning his internet connection was banned. So my suggestion would be to get a new modem

ok, here's how it works:

User Ban - They only ban the psn user, and thats all. All other users that were created before the ban will still work. Creating a new psn account in response to a user ban will only result in an extended ban.

IP Ban - Probably the least secure ban, and easiest to get around. They usually don't use this one too often however. In this type of ban, they ban your virtual address from the network. You can get around it using a proxy server, or by changing your IP address (yes, this can be done. search google for ways to do it.), and creating a new account.

MAC Ban - This is the worst ban possible. They ban your specific system from the network. Every PS3 has its own MAC address which cannot be changed. This is your system's fingerprint, so to speak. If this is what he obtained, then the only way he will be able to play is by getting a new PS3, getting a new account, and, just to be safe, changing his IP address.

It sounds like he got a MAC ban, so sorry to say it but he's screwed .

Most likely he was cursing hardcore and using racial slurs and someone recorded a video and sent it into Infinity Ward.
