(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok. The previous Elder Scrolls (Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion) was released in 2006, so I'm thinking that it's about time that Bethesda start working on the latest in the franchise. It hasn't been announced, but rumour has it that the team started on Elder Scrolls V as Oblivion hit Platinum and got GOTY. I don't know if it is true, but it would make sense. So, I would like to know your ideas and opinions on the matter, and if you think the same as I, that a new Elder Scrolls game will be released or developed soon, post what you think the game will be like. As in, what province will the new game be set in, Skyrim? Sumerset Isle?

I'm not expecting it for a while. Bethesda has been working on that new Fallout game, right? I wouldn't think it would come out this generation at all, or if it would, probably near the end.

Nice idea but I think that would be like a perk on a new game, if it was just a multiplayer add-on for the arena it would probably be a new DLC for TES IV.

To and fro the island.
It is certainly time for a new Elder Scrolls, though there was news circulating the internet nearly a year ago regarding the fact that there would likely be no successor to Oblivion.

If anything, I think the next game will follow the trend in which the other games did, picking a new region of Tamriel to explore.

Personally I'd like to have a game take place in the Black Marsh. If I'm not mistaken, Elder Scrolls II took place there, but with modern technology I think a game in the Black Marsh region could be quite a bit of fun.

I'd also like a game in Skyrim, as the nordic people (from what I saw in Oblivion) are a very sophisticated people.

Lets hope there is another Elder Scrolls game to come in the future, but frankly I don't think there will be.

Yeah I agree that it would be pretty sweet, and it would be funny to watch on PC it would be like mod wars lol.

Maybe there won't be an Elder Scrolls V, maybe they will just remake "The Elder Scrolls: Arena" (Elder Scrolls 1), "The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall" or "The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind". Personally I think it would great if they remade The Elder Scrolls: Arena as it isn't just set in one province, but you can travel around all of Tamriel. That would be sweet, even more so if they added not just the vampire disease, but being a lycanthrope like on Daggerfall (Lycanthrope = Wereboar or werewolf).

Oh, and wasn't Elder Scrolls II set in Hammerfell?

Honestly I don't know, as I didn't become an Elder Scrolls fan until The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.

I don't know much about The Elder Scrolls: Arena, like I said, but from your description it does sound rather interesting, and considering you can travel quite a bit would make for a lot of opportunity for eye-candy from the developers, no?

I'm confident that, if there is another Elder Scrolls, whether it be an entirely new one or a remake, that it will be another masterpiece in a masterpiece series.

I personally would prefer an entirely new game, but a remake of either The Elder Scrolls: Arena, or The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall would be nice, as well.

2 Words: Totally Agree.

It would be really graphcally dynamic if they remade Elder Scrolls: Arena or made the next Elder Scrolls like Arena where you could travel all over Tamriel. It would be interesting to see the lighting changes and how the surroundings and landscape changes as you journey through each province.
That would be a freakin' perfect game.
And maybe they would introduce boats, seeing as Sumerset Isle is an island. And maybe you could even buy your own boat?
Sweet.
