Yeah you should rent it first. I got in the beta and *hated* that, but it was just the beta, and it was before anyone else had it, so no one was online. I didn't like the weapons, though, because they really sucked with no real backlash. Even the positive reviews have it as repetitive with no really great boss fights. I would just wait for Killzone 2 if I were you and play something else like SOCOM (but not CoD5 because that really *does* suck) until then. I haven't played SOCOM, but I hear it's good, and it's worth it for just the headset. What I'm going to get is EndWar because that looks really fun, but what I'm playing now is LBP. I dunno if you only like shooters (looks like it from your sig), but if so, just get SOCOM and wait for Killzone 2. That, my friend, will be totally awesome.

absolutely 100% yes. you will like it, trust me. the weapons may suck at first, but when you master them they are extremely deadly. the boss fights were fun in my opinion, and it wasn't repetitive at all . I'm not really sure what that guy is talking about. SOCOM sucks balls, i'm sorry to say.
