(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); i have hooked my ps3 up to my tv with the hdmi cable, and it wont make any sound, i also tried plugging in my other cable that it came with to try to get sound and no luck, i switched the settings around and everything, could someone please help
and yes the volume is on

is it correctly pushed into the port ?

this happend to me on my shitty 19" tv with 720p try using component hd that fixed it with me but now i have a 37" full hd tv so its all good now

It's best to use the components cuz..

make sure your useing the hdmi 1 on the back of your TV and hdmi1 on your TV screen, or maybe its not your TV, your ps3. go to display seetings, and change that up according to your TV..

throw it out the window..j/k i had this problem before does other games work? how about shutting off the ps3 from the back swith then unplugging the power cord for 10 sec(ps3 cord) then turn it back on or if that don't help hold the power button on the front of the ps3 till u get a double beep that should set all the default settings, if that don't work call sony. and if that don't work refur back to my original sentence.

is it the blink or handshake ? or an error code , or just dosnt work and doesnt come up ?

Go to sound settings and select your correct sound output. c'mon it cant be that hard to figure out.

i tried all the settings and everything and it doesnt work, i got it from my friend and it worked on his, but it wont work on mine
