It's a team versus team game where you play as a character that can take on different roles, depending on what hat you wear. Different hats give you different attributes. Such as the Workers can mine iron and chop lumber, and of any person wearing a hat, are the fastest runners. When upgraded, they can throw bombs.
In the main game, each team has a stronghold with a captured princess in a cage of the other team. The objective is to rescue the princess from the opposing teams castle and transport her to the throne in your castle and hold her there for a period of time to win the match.
The Princess isn't fat though. There are pieces of cake all over the map which anybody can collect (workers and non-hated people are great for this because they move so fast) and run them to the captured princess to make her fatter. The fatter she is, the slower it is to move her when the other team has her in their possession.
It's a strategy game because of the different roles involved. Warriors for close range melee, Mages for long range magical attacks which are weaker than melee but have extra effects (such as freezing or setting someone on fire), Archers for long range arrow attacks (or a gun if upgraded), and priests to heal (or suck health from enemies when you can be an evil priest).
And there's variables such as bombs to blow up castle doors, or an exploding potion to turn people into chickens.
In the end, it's a team strategy game that is very cartoonish, but very well thought out. A wonderful game for all ages.
