Sky player has been a massive success since hitting the Xbox 360, and now it seems Sony and Nintendo could also share the triumph.
Upon Sky Player being released there was no announcement of exclusivity, therefore this was always anticipated, although doubtful.
Sky's director of On-Demand, Griff Parry, has stated the company are 'in talks to explore opportunities' with other mainstream consoles, however remain focused on enriching Sky Player for Xbox 360.
Furthermore, Parry has stated the following comments.
"We are looking to extend distribution of Sky Player widely via partnerships with key players in key categories," said Parry, when asked about the potential for Sky Player on Wii and PS3.
"Games consoles is obviously one of those key categories, so what you would expect is probably true.
"We are engaged in talks to explore opportunities, but we are very happy in our relationship with Microsoft.
"We are absolutely not finished with Xbox and aim to make the experience richer and richer and continue innovating."
To conclude; the decision remains indecisive, although we have a sense of eager anticipation now this news has hit the internet.
