(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Have you lost your firmware and dont know how to get it back?

Well dont worry because after this tutorial you will most likely have it back and get your PS3 working again.

What you will need is a Storage media/USB device

Okay first on you Storage media?USB device create a folder called "PS3"
Then go into that fill then create a folder called "UPDATE"
Then go to PM ANDY FOR THE LINK
And there you will download Firmware 3.30
After you have downloaded it put it into the folder called "UPDATE"
and then call it "PS3UPDAT.PUP"
then safely remove your storage device and plug it into your PS3 and turn you PS3 on if you have done it because you have lost the firmware you will need to hold down "Start" and "Select" and it should then tell you what to do and format your HDD, but if you are doing this to update it in general go to "System Update" Update via storage device.

I hope this helps if anyone has lost there firmware due to trying to mod the patches.
Thanks and +Rep if i helped.

Well im not sure atm moment because it says update with Firmware 3.30 or higher, but there might be away to get around that.
and first you have to get the firmware which has OS enabled
or you need to some how trick your ps3 to make it think that Firmware 3.15 is the latest version, witch is unluckly

oh i was thinking if it was a blank harddrive it wouldnt know which is which then use the patch blocker 2.2 and block firmware updates put your modded mw2 patch on there and your away Happy or would this just not work at all?

I'm not sure exactly how you would "lose" your firmware as it is stored within the system, not externally on a HDD or anything like that. Also, you can only update, not downgrade.

Well when i took my PS3 HDD and plugged it into my Pc internaly, then when i put the same HDD in my PS3 it would not start and said Connect System software via Storage device and press Select and start, and i couldnt do anything else, and the PS3 was running on 3.3 before.
So i just did a quick tut in case anyone else did that trying to mod the patch
