Hope all are well. I need some help or guidance. I have recently purchased a Playstation 3 in Demonstration Mode 2.51. I can get it out of demonstration mode when starting up so full functionality is available. The problem that I have is that I have to enter the code every time I start it up. The PS3 maintains all of my data so nothing is lost. I really bought this because of the 60gb and backward compatability. I learned that this was the system to buy. Can anyone help or guide me on what options are available for me to correct this?
To unlock your demo PS3 go to the XMB, then Security Settings. While highlighted, press L1+R1+Select+Square and it will ask you for a 4-digit code. Then enter the 4 digit code (shown below) and hey presto your PS3 will now be unlocked!

Hey There,
Thanks for the quick response. Is there anyway that I can prevent it from returning to demo mode once I turn it off? I can get it out of demo mode, the problem is keeping it there when I turn it off. However, it remembers all of my information when I unlock it again, i just don't want to have to do this every time. Do you know if there is anything I can do?
From what I understand, it will allow the stores to put games in and only allow game play for 15 minutes. This was done so that they didn't get people hanging at the machines all day. They are systems just as you would buy in the store, their programming was just tweaked to do this.
Thanks again for everyone's help. In any case, maybe we will learn something through this.
