Well, this is how to get the same XP
Step 1: Delete Game Data Utility (your online rank is not stored here so no worry :p )
Step 2: Install RDR, but DO NOT install 1.02
Step 3: Go to single player
Step 4: Press Start then go to multiplayer, then go below Online invites hit the option that says LAN
Step 5: Enjoy the normal Solomon's Folly non-nerfed XP, and fulfill your ranking needs :p
I hope this helped all you RDR kiddos that can't be bothered to rank up normally such as I

Yes, I can confirm that method is still working, but DO NOT run LAN mode, when you have 1.03 patch. Then your progress will be deleted, and you will start from 1st level just like me.
Delete patch 1.03, play LAN mode to 50th. When you get your trophy, install patch 1.03.

I tried the delete the file to reset the patches thing and it kept my single player game but deleted my online account

It didn't work, it deleted my single player, and when I went to Lan mode I was level 1, but when I re-installed the patch I got my Single player save back and was back to the same level online...
And I followed everything in the guide, so dose this not work anymore?

I think with the 1.03 patch they made a change to the multi-player save file. The method still works though.
My advice is to backup all your RDR saves first, then delete the multi-player save and the patch data/game data.
Then off course, don't install the patch and play in LAN mode all like before. When you got the desired rank and go back online your mp save should still be the way you left it.
So, multi-player wise, when doing this trick, you have to start over and create a new version 1 game multi-player save.

I know this is quite an old post but to let people know that twin rocks is by far better (which is how i got legendary 4 rank 50) complete it under a minute and get a 22ks you will receive in the region of 1.7k xp

The title was misleading, it is more of a work around but yes it should work, no it does not add anything to your leaderboard statistics.
