Post: First Impressions of PSN +

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I just purchased psn plus for £40.00, its a shame they dont have a £40.00 wallet add-on, so you have to put £50.00 on..

First impressions:

Firstly, you buy it and it downloads straight away.. This doesnt seem gameshareable but you never know some ps3 gurus might find a way to get it for free Happy When you have bought it, I suggest going to system settings, there you can update your "Automatic Downloads" which becomes available and all you have to do is select a time for the updates. Also at first, I was thinking something had gone wrong, because it said: "Free LBP" so I thought it would appear on my game section of the XMB but it just appears in Playstation plus section and you download it from there.

Here is a list of content that is available today on PSN +.

Games
LittleBigPlanet (standard edition) - special offer only available until 3 August 2010
WipEout HD
Field Runners (minis)
Age of Zombies (minis)
Destruction Derby (PS one Classic)

Full Game Trials
Shatter
Savage Moon

Special Offers
LittleBigPlanet: God of War Pack - 50%
LittleBigPlanet: LocoRoco costume pack - 50%
Gravity Crash - 20%
Fat Princess DLC - 20%

Premium Game Downloads
KillZone 2: Steel & Titanium map pack

Automatic Download Demos
ModNation Racers demo
Heavy Rain demo

Dynamic Themes and Premium Avatars
LittleBigPlanet Dynamic Theme
Game Is Just The Start Dynamic Theme
Fat Princess Premium Avatars

This list is as it stands now and maybe subject to change, I will keep this thread update or you can keep yourselves update by the link I will provide at the end.

So I do suggest buying this, as it brings many benefits, althought the cost of £40.00 seems daunting at first. It seems like a good buy from first impressions and I have already started to download over 3GB of Playstation Plus Items Happy

It sounds nice, but I need to not only wait for a few more opinions, I also need to wake for another paycheck. SO around next Thursday I'll check back to this thread and see how things have went. If it seems worth it I shall get it.

I have bills to pay, so yeah.

I have to agree with you here Fletcher, I too went straight to downloads and got all the freebies, the zombies game is proper old skool, I love it...and wip3out is still as good as it was back in the day.

Personally, I couldnt afford the whole year in one go this time (I already own LBP anyway so meh, no loss really). From first impressions it is a pretty good service and can only get better.

IMO, if you are unsure, get the 90 day subscription to try it out. (remember to turn off auto allocate funds in settings).

90 day subscription = £11.99 = cheaper than what I pay for XBL = WIN =D

You can just put £40 on your debit card and use automatic funding once you're at the checkout.
Nice review.

The USA one is different? Glitch prehaps? Report it to Sony. See what they say. If more Americans buy it, and it's not the same as the UK's report it to Sony.

It may need another firmware update to fix it. I want the stuff that Fletcher described if I buy it. I'm still waiting though. I will probably pick up a 50 dollar PSN card tonight and have it standing by.
