What's the Social Club?
Red Dead Redemption has a social club feature for users on PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS and Windows. This feature allows users to interact with one another on any system. You can share scores, find stats, complete challenges and view leaderboards. You can have your own profile and can talk to people over your very own computer about the game itself. All in all it's a very good feature.

Problems with Club
Sadly the club has many people on it's servers to updating ranks and unlocks you have completed in challenges could take days to appear. Even signing up can be hard to do and can take ages to actually become a member of the Social Club. But when it works it's a fantastic tool to use online.

Challenges
You can complete challenges which allow you to unlock certain things like guns, cheats and other cool things. This is all done through multiplayer, usually it is challenges in in Gang Hideouts that you can do by yourself. An example of one the challenges is the Twin Rocks Challenge. The objectives of this challenge is Shooting a hat of two enemies, killing three enemies with a knife and disarming three enemies. Once completed it could take 1hr to a few days before you unlock the cheat, which is cleat your bounty at anytime. More challenges can be found You must login or register to view this content. Make sure you claim the reward on your computer.

Trophies and Achievements
Here you can keep track of the trophies or achievements which you have completed in the game itself. Really nothing much to say about it, pretty easy to understand.

Multiplayer and Single Stats
You can keep track of your stats on your computer by going to the Stats page, there you can see all the stats on everything you have done it the game. Of course it takes time see the stats updated. Pretty much looks it the ones in the game menu itself.

100% Competed
There is a fantastic section on the site which records your single and multiplayer stats and shows you the missions you have completed and the things you have collected and done. At the moment I'm at 5.9% because the the sun it shinning outside and I can't be bothered playing. It shows you the following; Missions, Rare Weapons, Jobs, Outfits, Player Houses, Gang Hideouts, Challenges, Bounty Locations, Strangers, Mini Games and Map Locations.

Tips and Tricks
Here are some tips to getting started on the Social Club, these are just some things I have found out myself and by others. Hopefully this will help you out a lot.

  • Sign up to Social Club on Console
  • Completed Challenges when Signed in to Network
  • Don't troll the community forums
  • Trophy hacking and Social Club don't mix[
  • Don't get mad when stats don't show quickly

i would agree that it takes forever for the stats to show up and sometimes it randomly doesn't include stats like i'll beat an ambient challenge then do 5 missions and some bounties but when the stats update all i saw updated was the missions and its was really annoying when i tried to use it to discover all the locations it didn't even show that i had discovered mcfarlen's ranch yet it showed i had discovered beecher's hope but when it does update and the stats are correct its a great guide to use for getting 100% since i used it to get my platinum
