I really doubt, I've seen and heard those kind of rumors in forums and from my friends, but It's practically impossible, Sony's main aim for the PS3 (Apart, from Graphics) is to make a free internet use, meanwhile the XBOX 360 nope. This is the biggest gap between them and make them so different and gives the PS3 more power over X360, so I kinda doubt they will cover that gap (Making you pay for the Internet service).
And about the CoD, it is more possible, because the game is already sold so...every now and then someone might buy a copy so the profit won't be so high, but as is the most online played game in PS3 and XBOX they will really win millions of dollars if they make it a Pay-To-Play service. And is completely understandable (from the company economic terms) but is completely unfair for the users.
