(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I was playing my pS3 online today..When suddenly it just shut down..I tried to turn it back on but it just shut down again..I turn the ps3 on and it nearly goes into the menu but the light turns Light Green and then it shuts down..The light does not turn yellow (Was making it clear,Its not the Yellow Light Of Death)..I've un-plugged the ps3 for the night and hopefully it might work in the morning..Anybidy know why this is happening/..Has this happened to anyone before?...+REP will be given to anybody who can help...Much appreciated,

Are you sure it didn't overheat or something?

It sounds so much like YLOD, but it's not.

If it wants to turn on but turns off, thats a sign that either a system component does not function properly or there is a problem with your power cable.

Try using a friends or someones power cable. If that does not work, your PS3 will need to go through Sony unfortunately.

I left it off all night (plugged Out)..Tried to turn it on but did the same thing..I doubt its still under warranty I bought it in 2007 the first week it came out..I guess it could be the power cable..I'm goiing to try it anyway..Thank you to everyone who has posted a response and helped me out with my problem...=]
