1. Choose A Picture
Find a picture you want to use and save it.

2. Create A Custom Spray
Open your selected picture(s) in photoshop and create what you want. Also, put in any text you want and save the 128x128 image.

3. Conversion
Open VTFEdit, and go to File -> Import. Control-click images you want to use, and click OK. Select the default options on the Import screen and start converting the images.

Go to the Info tab and if its under 120KB, save it in c:/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/<your username>/team fortress 2/tf/VGUI/logos for TF2, or c:/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/<your username>/counter-strike source/cstrike/materials/VGUI/logos folder. Once saved, go to the Tools menu and click Create VMT file and save it under the same folder.

4. Put it in the Game
From the game's main menu, go to the options menu, and select the Multiplayer tab. Then select your spray in the drop-down menu.
