PS3 Slim is better IMO because Sony is better! You get a sexy looking system, all the PSN exclusives, BLU RAY, and NO online fees unless you choose to go with Playstation Plus. WHICH is better than XBox live for the simply fact that you get discounts on certain content, early acces to betas, free downloads (games, themes, avatars, DLC), you can also rent games and play the full game before you decide to buy the game. So Playstation Plus is a a better choice over X Box Live because they are both $50 but with Playstation Plus you get more for your money. (The things they let you download for free in the first 2 months (in terms of games, movies, DLC, themes, and avatars) already surpass the $50 amount you spent for the whole year

Also you get EVERYTHING you need with the PS3 and for X Box 360 you have to pay for extra things. You can also upgrade the 120GB hard drive on the PS3 to a 320 gb or 500 gb (I have 500GB). So my choice would obviously be the PS3 slim over the 360 slim, but that's just how I see things.

The PS3 slim and the Xbox 360 Slim, are just the same as there was before they became slim, with added thing's, but nothing to do with the way it work's it's self from how it used to work.

I can see a fight coming with this thread, it's just the same as the war over PS3 and Xbox 360.

it comes down to what you prefer...

Halo and Gears - get a 360
Uncharted, Killzone, Little Big Planet - get a PS3

just remember that PSN is free and you don't have to pay to play online


I would get a PS3 personally, it's more reliable and has better exclusives IMO

I was going to get an XBOX Slim before I came down with "YLOD" now I'm getting another PS3 Phatty the SE Gunmetal one. But to answer your question I'd go with the PS3 Slim.

The systems don't matter as much as the service, the only thing I can see systems need is to stop crashing and find something about that overheat problem both of them can get. Either way you look at it, PSN and XBL is the real difference.

How can they call the xbox a slim?

Both are excellent. Failure rate goes down for both consoles but still exists. Both will be bundled with Kinetic/Move, and both have great games. You can't really go wrong here, it all depends on personal preference. What games series are you a fan of? Killzone or Halo? Do you like inFamous or Fable? Siren or Alan Wake? Do you want to pay for online with chances you'll find it better then PSN, or play for free on a somewhat less good PSN?

Tbh, I'd get the PS3 Slim.
