Fallout 3 I think might be a good game for you. Especially if you liked Oblivion.

I will tell you that even though no one talks about them, I had the first Blazing Angels game that came out and it was awesome! WWII flying game if your not familiar. It has multiplayer and a great campaign mode. You can get it for about $10 now used. There is also a sequel but I am not sure what it is called.

I got Oblivion, started playing it and gave up on it, I just never got the hang of it.

Well Fallout is actually quite a bit different just some similarities because it's made by the same developer. Maybe check out some footage of it? I'd consider checking out Borderlands as well.

If you love GOW 3, then you should try Darksiders. Bayonetta ain't bad either.
