So the game, which was scheduled for Fall 2010, will now (supposedly) be out between January and March 2011. That is, of course, assuming a more appealing marketing window doesn’t show up before release day.

What do you think, is it frustrating to see a title get pushed for marketing reasons? Is Q1 2011 really better for Crysis 2 with Dead Space 2, Dragon Age 2, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Bulletstorm, Spec Ops: The Line, and Killzone 3, just to name a few? Is any time better than any other nowadays?"

This sucks ¬¬ But well, it will be for good! Believe me, maybe they know they can improve the game a little and add major graphics, if it is for better then it's cool

I don't know that Crytek 3 Engine looks crazy as it is, But I guess this being the game's console debut they want to impress so I guess it is for the good.

i wonder if they would remake crysis 1 in hd for ps3 because i would love to play it , but my pc is too messed up to play any games , it seems as the first quarter is now the fashionable slot to release big titles . just to get away from the crazy cod series

It's only for the better- the longer the release date the better the game.

think of it this way when they was making bioshock 2 they put it off for like 2 years n now look at it, its cool as hell just means they have longer to work on it

I kinda agree with you I think this a smart move from a Marketing stand point, but I mean this is Crysis not some no-name title coming out if anyone is ready to go toe 2 toe with Black Ops is Crysis and that Crytek 3 Engine.

that is true that crysis is a strong brand but think of the games that came out and were pushed back into Q1 , Bioshock 2 , Battlefield Bad Company 2 , and many others were released in this window rather than the usual more lucrative Holidays window.

This is true, Usually because COD has November locked down...LOL if you go back I think Borderlands released in October of '09 and preety much came out of nowhere and sold a decent amount, Crysis 2 could have released in October and gotten a jump start on COD BLack Ops. Q1 of 2011 is going to be packed with big titles Socom 4, Crysis 2, Dead Space 2, Mortal Kombat 9 I think it would have been easier to take on 1 title than 4 or 5 LOL. Either way Crysis 2 is a must by in my book.
