Well Look at it this way... Look at the original Nintendo - the end of the sega age.. Smaller controllers... They worked fine and did what they were made to do... Then look at the 64 which was the PS1s competition It had a HUGE controller built for people that had 3 hands (rofl)
It was one of the first to have a bigger controller..... Then the PS2-gamecube and xbox came out...
The Ps2 came with basically the same controller except for the rumble feature...the game cube had an upgraded controller which was downsized from the N64...
Then the xbox came out with there huge brick which I never really understood... but hey whatever floats there boat....

Then The PS3 came out with the same size controller with added feature... The wii came out with a remote with was still small... The Xbox 360 cam out with there not as big but still pretty big controller.....

I think that Sony wanted a controller that was small had functionality and was fun to use... I do not think that they were like " Hey lets make our controller smaller then theres
" They were just designing a sleek controller that went with the system....
Look at the systems today there controllers match them so hey right move for everyone do you not think?

Yea but playstation has always had this design even before Xbox even came out

I find the Ps3 controller alottttt easier to handle for cod. I had a ps3 and my KD ratio was 2.56, and I never lost a quickscoping match now my KD ratio on 360 is only 1.90, and my quickscoping isnt AS good.

because PS3 controllers are small enough to fit anywhere... yes get creative and big enough to find if you lose them... anywhere get creative


xbox controllers are very annoying.
when i was at my friends house we were playing HALO 3 split screen online for an hour and it was really hot and we were sweating. the xbox controllers got really hot and sticky but with PS3 controllers they stay cool and firm

because its a design thing microsoft patened or howver you spell that,their design

Agreed, and this is the signature SONY controller, they aren't going to change it.
