(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); what it in fact does is basically turn a retail console into a debug console, debug ps3's have all the features this modchip does already installed so if my theory is correct, sony will not be able to ban people from psn because they might not know who has a debug console and who does not. that way they cannot ban people who have ran games from a harddrive because it might just be a debug console doing it.

also if they do patch it with a firmware update it wont matter since it can block updates but is unknown to still go online if i am correct.

the minute i saw the video I was a little suspicious, they show you the games list, but not the console after they put uncharted into the drive, you can easily switch out the games while camera is on the tv. When i can get my hands on one and do it for myself, then i will believe it.

It's been proven by many people. PS3 devs have also confirmed it to be legit. But I really don't care who doesn't believe it's legit, they just don't know enough about it to determine for themselves.

*And to answer the original posters question, no you will not be banned for using it. Sony has no way of knowing you used it unless you tell them or have files relating to the device on the hard drive if you send them your PS3 for repair.

hmmmn interesting if it did infact 1 work and 2 effectively make your ps3 a debug console we would all with a bit of tinkering be able to do what hunter??? was doing with MW2 making speed/challenge lobby's no? as i read that is how he did it using a debug ps3??

It's sony , they will patch it even if that costed them to disable USB support( at least until finding another fix) as they did with OS system. As for online your console can be scanned by sony , I believe that some files will be differnet so they can detect you and ban you.

Check their page it already said that you can go online until now, so they must know that there is a fix.

Yes, I know that you can go online with it now , but there must be a change in your PS3 that can be detected by sony.

I guarantee you that if you went online with this after sony making an update to patch it you will be banned even if Jailbreak didn't make you download it.

no they will not remove the usb port feature through an update, how would we be able to charge our controller? if they did that it is going to be a lawsuit that they are going to loose. Easiest thing they can do is update their own jig and patch a code detector in the next FW update that detects the old Jig code because this is a stolen jig, and disable it from being detected by the system itself.





Also people this is real, sounds to me some of you only seen one video, there are multiple video from varies source and some show the PS3 in the whole video the wholde time during the game change. Some say this is working because they have a debug PS3, this device tricks the PS3 into debug mode.
Also multiple online retailers like OZ or Modchip very trust worthy sites, they won't be caught selling fake modchips.

I believe we should just wait till this thingy is released to all and we are able to use it. Till then don't comment on something you've seen on youtube...believe it when you make it.
