Most likely it was a console ban... So yes if you got a new one it should work online...
They do not really ban IPs because most of them are dynamic and change often... So you might be lucky...

Thnx 4 Helping Me Much Appreciated Even If Its IP Ban Im Ok Cos Myn Changes If I Restrt My Router My PS3 Has A MAC Ban So IL Be Able 2 Go Online On New PS3.
6 Days 2 Go 4 320GB SLiM With PS Move Cant Wait
