When you are a fan of gaming, or anything for that matter, no matter how new or old a certain object of entertainment is, you always begin to wonder how to improve it. As a result you sometimes get images in your head of ways it can be improved, or interesting designs that you think would look great. With gamers, it’s exactly that… These are images we have found around the net or have been submitted by our own viewers. Each image is a different idea of what the playstation 4 (PS4) design could look like. These images are not official images, and are purely Playstation fans ideas of what they hope to see Playstation 4 (ps4) resemble!

This unofficial PS4 prototype is meant to focus on the “retro” style that has been coming around again in the world during recent years. People in general have been wanting “slim” versions of consoles for various reasons, so this PS4 prototype is a combination of the retro look with slim capabilities. This unofficial prototype claims to allow for a more visually appealing look than prior Playstation system designs such as Playstation, PS2, and Ps3, with the still useful and hardcore gaming capabilities of the prior systems.








This is one of many unofficial Playstation 4 prototype images floating around currently. The PS4 prototype features a very glossy white finish and is shaped like a box, perhaps the designer of this image felt Playstation would stick with a bit larger version of their box type design for the future Playstation models. Although this is a bit old fashioned, it still keeps a nice crisp, and modern look.


Just the idea of a new console coming out in the next few years in great! With the recent advancements of technology and TV’s, I can’t even begin to image what the future holds for the PS4, and the rest of the Playstation brand… for all we know it could look totally different than what any of us ever imagined!

There are always lots of rumours flying around about companies new products and the PS4 by Sony is no different. The release date has yet to be officially announced, but new rumours emerging on the internet suggest that is be will release sooner than you think it will be.

Insiders that work at the Sony gaming department have hinted that the new console with will released in late 2010 or early 2011. Will they be aiming for a Christmas release? Its not looking that likely as details have been held tightly behind close doors, but nothing has been released at this years annual gaming convention E3.

Microsoft’s Project Natal console system was demonstrated at E3 and is set to be released in time for Christmas 2010. Will the PS4 make a surprise announcement and release theirs too? Will there be rivalry between the two manufacturers?

One thing is for sure if the two games companies go head to head in a quest for sales it is likely to be Sony that wins, being the gaming veteran company. Let us not forget that Microsoft only came onto the gaming scene relatively recently with its Xbox console.

Project Natal is an add-on to the Xbox that will transform it into a hand free, wire free interactive control system. It looks very promising, but will it out shadow what Sony has in store for loyal Playstation fans? We will just have to wait and see

There have been alot of rumors flying around about the Sony PS4 console. Nobody has really confirmed whether any of the playstation 4 concept pictures that have been leaked onto the internet are real or not. But many different versions have been released all the same. Take a look at some of the concept ps4 images below.


ps4 concept
This is generally thought to be the most realistic of the prototype pics on the net. Many people beleive that sony has released this one themselves and is thought to be real. As you can see this one is different to the previous games consoles, it stands upright like the wii.

Sony PS4 Concept
This is supposedly using flexible screen technology. Boasting a see through design and stylish touch screen interface. Since touch screen technology is completely possible for the general public use such as that of the iPhone then it is not too unbeleivable to think that this tech could be used for the latest playstation console.

Another possible ps4 design. This one is super small and also wireless like the ps3. This is an ultra small and powerful machine. Do we think that the ps4 can pack all of the features of the ps3 and more into this tiny box?

OMG. beast, but 99% fake.

that's obviously photoshopped but it looks pretty nice haha. and to all of the originals:
The first one is obviously fake don't have to explain. Second one is PSX. Third one is fake, you can tell by the novice blur done on some of the symbols. The fourth one is fake and you can tell from the bad gradient done on the analog sticks. The fifth on is fake because of the lighting on the system reflects a different way from the image along with it just says "PS". The sixth one you are an idiot if you cannot tell. Their is a picture of playstation home and multiple ps3 games(if that's not enough the lighting on the disk is the exact same as a default effect default settings in gimp). The seventh one is onlive.

lol. and i updated my post to explain why they are all fake. I know most people can realize, but for the few that can't. and for those who still don't understand: There won't be a prototype that will even have the possibility of being leaked for another 3-4 years.

Don't expect PS4 until atleast 2012 - 2013? I heard from a Sony Advisor that the PS3 was a 10 year console :O So PS4 should be released at 2015 - 2016 then maybe? Unless it gets pushed early..
