(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); im not sure if this is in the right forum but this sounded like the best place to post it to me.....most of the time i have a decent connection (3-4 our of 5 bars) when playing call of duty WaW but sometimes my connection will be only 1 bar and i will time out or it will lag REALLY REALLY bad to the point where i cant even play...does anybody know why this is? i use a wireless connection and have a pretty expensive router (im not sure the specs or wutever on it) but it was mid-upper priced so i assume it should be sufficient. but my wireless router sits about 8 inches from my ps3 so i cant figure out why i have such a bad connection, its RIGHT next to my ps3! can anybody help me?

I get this but it turns out its mostly the host since they end the game because the host has a bad connection.

if its a private match its not your fault if its an online match its your fault. you said it was right next to your ps3 so try plugging an ethernet cord in.. just a suggestion but my ps3 is wired and i have no problems

Yes mobile phones can mess with your connection, however this is more then likely the host of even being put in a game with people with bad connection or if a person is from a totaly differnt country it can mess with your connection. Its more then likely nothing to do with you or your set up however i would definatly just use an ethernet cable if your router is that close to your ps3

I use an Ethernet cable on my PS3 and I usually have only 2 bars, occasionally I'll have 3. But I use the wireless adapter thing for my 360 and also have 3-4 bars; rarely have 1-2 bars. I think it's because on PS3, they just throw you into any match, regardless of how far the host is away from you. On 360, it will find you the nearest host or a host with a good connection. I think that's one of the reasons why Microsoft charges for online experience.

No. On ps3 and 360. You have the same connection, speed, latency such. They sort you into games by your ping. If you don't know what ping is look it up. If you have a sh*t ping then you get into sh*t games. And so fourth. If you have a great connection and get into bad games. Its the luck of the draw.

I'm having trouble with my wired connection when I try to play in deep east tx. I hook it up str8 from the modem to my ps3 and about 50% of the time it works. Anyone have tips for improving signal strength to the ps3? Anything I can do to possibly improve this signal would help me a lot. I have the cable guy coming tomorrow so maybe he will fix it, but chances are he'll give me some bs excuse like usual. Plz Help!
