With a Jailbroken PS3, you can run unsigned package files, host MW2 challenge lobbies, and play most PS3 games from the internal HDD or an external HDD.

EDIT: In order to use it, you must be on firmware 3.41. If you've already updated to firmware 3.42, you're out of luck, because you cannot downgrade the PS3 firmware.
