(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have my ps3 on while watching some TV and i hear 3 beats and the ps3 turns off with the red light blinking. So i dissconnect everything and reboot and it turns on for a second and turns off with a quick flash of a yellow light. I disconnected everything again and was on for 10min and shutted off again. What do i do, Its a 40gb that i bought when gta 4 came out. Am I screwed and i read that it costs $150 to get a refurbished one but i have 4 accounts with kombos ready to sync. I also heard you can fix it but opening your ps3. Is there any other way and i also heard that its the HDD so if thats so all i have to do it buy a new HDD

You don't have to take it apart people use the BLOW DRYER because you can use it through the VENTS and won't hurt the plastic I think a Heat gun might do damage to the plastic because it gets hotter so if your going to take it apart I suggest buying the COOLANT SOLDER from ebay or whatever and re-applying it to the old solder might as well if your going to go through the trouble of taking it apart.

damn it didnt work and it was hella hot and did it for 1 minute cuz it started smelling like burnt plastic. SO how much does a new solder cost. And is there anotherway, and wheni look at vid on how to take a ps3 apart theres look different than mine.

Iv put it off til i fix a stripped screw(can you help with that) but till then I want to know since all the videos are different and cant find a reliable durable sourse. I have flux and thermal compound. I believe but when you have the board flipped the right way you put the fux on top of the cpu and gpu then you heat it up then you wait 15min then you apply the thermal compound and then you just heat up the back of the board without putting anything

Are you high?
what i did, was buy the new xbox 360. i tried 5 different fixes for mine, and all failed. getting a refurbished one is retarded, because its used, and its not yours.
