80028790 whn u get tht this means tht u have activated your system to much.

you people think tht when tht happenes you need to buy another ps3 system WRONG ALL U HAVE TO DO IS WAIT 7 TO 9 DAYS FOR IT TO REACTIVATE.

EXAMPLE: a person trys to activate his system and it says error. what he has to do is never to press the activation button for 9 days cus if he does it will say error and then it will reset the 9 days so dont press the activation button for about 7 to 9 days and thn whn the 9th day is up press it and the error is GONE

wait 7-9 days i would rather buy a new one LOL just kidding

Yeah this doesnt work obviously time haas nothing to do with it its about how many activations you have. I emailed sony to have mine reset and they gave me some bullshit automated answer about being allowed to have 5 activations. Unfortunatly there phone times are so stupid that i can never reach them.

Call Sony and tell the customer service advisor that you got the YLOD, but you're going to sell it on instead of sending it to them for repair. If they still refuse to give you one more activation, tell them that they're stopping you from buying content from their store. If they still refuse, you're screwed.

what does activating it do mines not activated and i can do everything

If you can use content from the PSN store on your account, then it is activated to your PS3.

Every PSN account is permitted 5 activations. This means that you can activate your PSN account on 5 different PS3's and still use your DLC on those PS3's. If you sign into your PSN account on any other PS3, you will not be able to use your DLC on it.
