(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); OK, so the left analog stick on all my controllers gets worn from friction with the ring in the plastic housing. There seems to be a seam in the plastic molding process used to make the controller. It lies directly on the edge of the ring of the analog sticks where if a player like myself presses firmer than needed when rocking the left analog up tends to accelerate wear. This becomes a problem when the analog stick "sticks" on the worn notch in the shaft onto the top part of the ring, resulting in less than ideal playing conditions.
I know this isn't a prob. with everyone, but some of you feel my pain.
Are there any better made controllers put there without the cheap seam that seems to wear out so many controllers? If you have and similar experiences or advice, please share.
Also if you are a lawyer and will be willing to defer payment until settlement, please pm me, thanx.

i have 4 controllers and they all have seen many miles. 2 are pre-dualshock but all experience same issues. I have been to friends houses and have seen similar issues. This stems from a manufacturing seam in the plastic housing that accelerates wear.

Experts, please feel free to chime in.

Yeah it sucks.. I have no realization of time anymore.. it just floats by.

well now that I think about age shouldn't matter for his remote.. they should have at-least a 7 year lifespan.

not what im talking about. the stem of the analog stick coming coming into contact with the circular portal of the controller. No issues with the rubber grip part.

Are there any better made ps3 controllers out there without this particular manufacturing defect?/facepalm

Don't think it a defect more wear over time. Not a design fault.

As for your rights as long you can prove it a problem when you got the thing. Engineers report. And that the hard part you can get a it replaced for free. Using the sales of goods act that if you live in the UK. Unsure if the EU covered by that also.
Btw you can only use that act against the retailer.
