Weapon: STA11 Submachine Gun

This machine gun, which is wielded by the more elite class of Helghast infantry, fires more rounds per second than your gas-masked enemies' standard issue assault rifle, making it a better choice on the battlefield. Its accuracy and easy-to-handle nature make it ideal for sawing enemies in half, especially when you're moving quickly from one area to the next.

Weapon: VC21 Bolt Gun

Damage it deals from a single shot: High
Fire this bad boy at any part of an enemy's body and a giant metal bolt will eject out of its muzzle, stapling their carcass to the nearest wall with its tremendous force like a toy doll being impaled by a whale-killing harpoon. It's almost always a good idea to swap out the weapon you're holding with the VC21 Bolt Gun when you come across this rare gun.

Weapon: VC32 Sniper Rifle

Damage it deals from a single shot: High
While considerably tricky to master, the sniper rifle is critical to claiming victory in long-range shootouts. It may not be appropriate for certain situations, like when you need to act fast to rid an area of Helghast scum. It also may take a while before you get used to aiming the weapon, but the good news is that it's so overwhelmingly devastating that nailing enemy soldiers in the dome isn't always necessary to kill them.

Weapon: The Tank

Damage it deals from a single cannon blast: Extremely High
Obliterate multiple ground troops with ease by shooting the ISA Tank's devastating cannon at them. You can also extinguish the lives of your enemies in a couple of other ways with this vehicle including rolling over foes, crushing them under its massive weight, and using the mounted machine gun to deal extra damage. Did we mention all three methods can be performed simultaneously to really rack up kills?

Weapon: STA3 LMG

Damage it deals from a single burst of ammunition: Medium - High
Don't let this gun's name fool you, the STA3 Light Machine Gun is no baby toy, nor is it light it any way, shape, or form. Lugging this thing around Killzone 2's many war-scorched battlefields can be a big pain in the ass due to its size, but it's absolutely a gun you should use often when mowing down enemies. Crouching while brandishing the LMG, which increases its overall accuracy, makes this weapon a force to be reckoned with.

Weapon: VC1 Flamethrower

Damage it deals from a single blast of fire: Medium
There's nothing quite as satisfying as engulfing enemies in the flesh-searing blaze the VC1 Flamethrower spits out, charring them to death. It might not kill them right away, but even if you just torch someone slightly, they'll be in shock from being on fire, which will buy you the time you need to beat them in the face or whip out another firearm and finish them off.

Weapon: Electricity Gun

Damage it deals from a single blast of electricity: Extremely High
There's a reason you only have a few opportunities to unleash the Electricity Gun on Helghast enemies in the game. Not only does it literally cook hostiles quickly with its insanely-high voltage, it also automatically locks on to foes, earning it the label of "the most powerful weapon in the game." This is without a doubt the BFG of the Killzone universe.

Weapon: The Mech

Damage it deals from a single cannon blast: Extremely High
I'm just going to come out and say it: Killzone 2's weaponized mech vehicle is the best fictional mech since the one Ripley uses to vanquish the alien queen in the film Aliens... only this one is armed with a cannon, a powerful machine gun, and can stomp Helghast soldiers into mush as if they were bugs. Did we mention you can run in this thing?

So those are it? Are there going to be more guns? That is only like 6 different guns that you can hold in your hand. I thought there would be a lot of guns in this game.
