Japanese games developer and publisher Capcom has become the latest company to get behind Sony’s social networking space Home by revealing a host of promotional activity for two of its big upcoming titles.
Firstly, ahead of its release next month, CVG reports that Street Fighter IV will be promoted by a number of themed costumes that can be purchased by users and equipped on their Home avatars. Ryu, Ken and Chun Li have been confirmed so far. There will also be a range of SFIV-themed props available for decorating user’s apartments.
In addition, Resident Evil 5 is also to be involved in a big Home push. Along with a Chris Redfield costume for avatars, Capcom is to launch a dedicated RE5 themed space based on the opening village missions of the game.
It has also been confirmed that both games will support in-Home multiplayer matchmaking.
Capcom’s Home activity follows similar initiatives from fellow publishers Ubisoft and EA, as well as non-games firms such as Red Bull.
