Over the years my PS3 has overcome some amazing obstacles and this is the place where these amazing inspirational stoires can be shared.

I myself have a launch 40 gb model and she has been with me for about 3 years. Her name is Chastity, and for 2 years our life was perfect together. It was a cold winters night when my dearest Chastity received her first yellow light. I remember staying up all night in the repair shop waiting for her to be revived, but the repair man said it was only a matter of time before she became unplayable. Despite all odds she was revived and lived to see another 4 platinums

It had only been six months since her last operation, but it seemed that Chastity required surgery again, the yellow light was back. She fought so hard, she had never given up on anything in her life and she wasnt about to quit on me now, we still had so much Little Big Planet to play, and Heavy Rain was about to be released. I started to wonder if id ever know who the oragami killer was. She pulled through for her second time and we killed that bastard Shelby and went on to acheive more hearts in LBP than you could ever imagine.

After her second surgery things changed though, she wasnt working like she did in the past. It turns out that she had contracted a broken fan, something that could rip her apart from the core. Then it happened, she started to receive the message that the system was too hot, and she would auto shutdown everytime I started up a game. I decided to take her apart and to my surprise I found out that she had been injecting dust into the fan, which only meant one thing, she tried to kill herself. I couldnt help but think that it was my fault, but after hours of therapy we had found out that it was brought on by MW2. She said it was such a bad game she just wanted to end it all. The only thing that could fix her now was a new fan, and a lot of commando lunge rehab.

Me and Chastity still remain together and our bond is unbreakable. I am actually typing this off of my darling PS3 right now, and as I look over to her I can see a single tear drop coming out of her BluRay drive. I hope that others can share thier stories with us and learn from this thread, neigh, live by it.

i remember launch day like it was yesterday,i woke up like a little kid on christmas morning , i ran down stairs and asked my mom what time she could take me into town so i could finally get my hands on a ps3. she told me i had to wait till 11.00 am cause to be fair she couldnt be arsed to take me any earlier lol so i waited and waited which felt like an eternity and finally the lazy bitch decided to take me into town, the drive into to town felt so long , we stopped at every set of traffic lights it felt like god was punishing me . but i knew that soon i would get my reward so i percerverd . i got out the car , the harsh cold breeze seemed to pierce through my clothes and skin , my hands were trembling but not due to the sheer coldness but because i was just about to enter game and the sheer excitment was just over whelming. there was no line not even a customer in the shop , my heart was racing ,my brain telling my heart they sold out . but my heart was burning and it knew it couldnt of sold out as i preorded it 6 months ago lol so went to the desk and gave him the 550 pounds for the ps3,motor storm and resistance . so with my hands full i walked out the shop with the biggest smile ive had since i lost my virgnitiy haha but everyone was looking at me they knew what was in the bag so i ran to my moms car and she raced away to the house . i took so much care when unpacking that bad boy . i hooked it up to the t.v put motorstorm in and thought wdf this is ps2 graphics , i forgot to get the hdmi cable, so my mom had to make another trip lol she came back and hooked it all bak up again and well lets say this it was the start of a beautiful relationship until i got the yellow light of death and then it sounded like a dyson vaccum cleaner thank god i got the 3 year warrenty lol

nothing happened to my babe yet although once me and my mom had a fight and she assaulted my ps3 as she knew that the ps3 was my weakness. after 2 days later the ps3 stopped working. i felt sad and i started to think if my ps3 was alright. the following week i made my mom pay 150 bucks to get my babe resurrected. so i did and a few weeks later she smiled at me and came back to my tv and we enjoyed playing MW2 together.

That was cheffing hilarious, it actually made me LOL. Although, I cant help but think that story was actually the truth, and you do have some sort of techno-crush on your playstation. I dont blame you however, the glossy finish on the "phat" models is pretty god damn sexy.
