I downloaded this yesterday, I think the UI is MUCH better from the disc. Easily pick out movies, short previews and all.

you also need to have netflix first of all and don't you have to activate it via online to make it work first? i don't know i still have the disc and just learn today that it can be disc-less, same goes for the wii too, so that saves me the trouble of popping the cd out and in every time, thank goodness.
