I have a slim thats running on 3.50 so I could put its HDD in my 40gb to make the 40gb update it but would it make me update to 3.50 If I did that?

found this on a website The error code 8002f147 means " unable to reset"

Could I ask you to Reset your PS3 Controller ( if wireless, Little button front/left side )

Second: Use a USB Cable then try updating again.
The contoller could be the problem

if not i would zero ur harddrive on pc and try updating from the other power menu

I have tried the controller thing no luck. I found a guide on the net that states I need to format my HDD on a PC in NTFS and then access the recovery menu and install my PS3s original firmware via the menu.

Problem is where the fook do I get Firmware 3.15 =/
