Early spring my ps3 froze, i restarted and it wouldn't read any discs and my warranty just expired so i figured i would go buy a new slim (which still works perfect). Now i want to fix my old ps3 and i bought a replacement laser (kem-410aca) took out the old blu ray lens and put the new one in and it still doesn't read the discs. I guess i should have done a little more research before i jumped to the conclusion that is was a bad lens. The ps3 will suck the disc in and when its in the drive it continues to make the noise like its sucking the disc in. Then it stop but disc will just sit there. So im assuming it doesnt recognize the disc, anyone have any advise before i send it to a repair shop? Also the replacement blu ray lens i bought says kem-410aca on the box but the part number on the actual drive says kem-410cca. I read that they are the same but like i said any thoughts would be appreciated. Think maybe i need to replace the blu ray drive mother board? just a thought
