i'm not sure, becase i can't get out of the update because when the ps3 restart the update just start over again.

but i think it is on 3.20 or 3.21

restore the settings then try to install it again by the usb stick

Umm is your flash drive formatted to fat32?
edit1: try another 3.41 update file

Um I think you can update using safe mode. Try that.

Hold the ps3 and eject button for 30 seconds. It should restate your ps3 in factory settings then do what all these guys are tellin ya :y:

i have the exact same problem, i have heard shorting and taking the battery on the motherboard out for an hour might work,im now about to try this i will let you know if this works,

also have you looked at your blu ray ribbon?make sure its in properly/not damaged
