I was like WTF for 30 seconds then my ps3 shut off and started blinking red.. so I Google'd it.. "sign of overheating", I go over and touch her..she isn't hot or that warm.

I can't help but have that feeling that my release date PlayStation is nearing its end.. :cry:

Simple Buy new Playstation 3, or fix it. I have my original 60GB PS3 back in 26th November 2006 and had overheat problems but i fix it and still work to this day.

I'm gonna pull the harddrive out and attempt to see if that is the problem.. I would buy another one, but I kind of have to save my money for a new vehicle so I can get a job.

something similar happened to me as well on Saturday
when i got my black ops. i got home and turned on my ps3 ejected mw2 out and when i tried to put black ops in it wouldn't go in as like something was stuck in there. i was like f**k what a coincident

I would have been pissed.. I was freaking out cause black ops was stuck in there and I couldn't get it out, ended up opening up the PlayStation after pronouncing it dead so I could get it out of the blue-ray drive

Yeah it's YLOD, I tore her open to get black ops out of the blue-ray drive..for now she'll sit on a shelve until I decided I want to attempt and find the source of the issue. For now I'm stuck with my brothers ps3.

That sucks man, at least you have a backup. What terrible timing too. :/
