(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Honestly, what were they thinking.
Bringing out a game that they were trying to make bigger than COD at this time?
About a month before the highest anticipated game of all time. Call Of Duty: Black Ops.

Why?... haha, I didn't even bother trying it out. But in some ways black ops is quite similar to MOH.

But what are your thoughts?

goobernuts hit it on the point!

MOH was nothing more than a fundraiser for BF3. It was probably conceived a while back and they planned on making it a good and properly developed game. As it got closer to 11/09/10 EA realised that nothing else would be coming out even close to that date.

So, they pushed MOH up and made the game playable. They even spent minimum amount of money on this game possible. They used an engine from previous games for both multiplayer and singleplayer. They also had servers that would have been considered trashy back in 2004. And, the only thing they fixed from the beta was the constant freezing. Everything else was about the same. The MP used a version of Frostbite 1.5 that has been in use since summer of 09. Yet, it was still worse than the game it originally was used in (BF1943).

They even had private matches in the beta, but they didn't work. And, instead of actually fixing them to make them work they patched them out of the game day 1. On top of that you could only join a game with your friends and be on the same team 1 in every 5 tries.

They even released DLC that they were charging for a week after the game dropped! Who does that? That screams that the game wasn't ready or they were just trying to make extra money.

Let us review...

It was released a few weeks before BO. They released DLC you had to pay for a week later. Only one issue from the beta was actually fixed. They were releasing DLC before they actually fixed what was wrong with the game. And, they did all of this spending a minimal amount of money on their end. They also included a beta key for BF3 with the game.

Their you have it. When you sit back and look at what happened with that game is it easy to determine it was nothing more than a fundraiser.

I defeated!
yeah MOH is a great example of what happens when you rush a game out just to get it in before black ops so that people will buy it while they wait for a month

I think that they should have released it way earlier.
After BO and no-one would have brought it.

Pretty much.
And it was also a 'Fundraiser', but I reckon, about month earlier, they would have made more.
