so i resorted to the last option...service. so i paid the $160 upfront because we need a 2 year old receipt to send it in now.

my question is...has anyone else had this error? and if u sent it in, how long did it take til u got it back?

Your PS3 has a fried circuit board. Basically i opened my one up and removed my CoD4 disc and hard drive. You will recive a brand new hard drive and a 40Gb or 80Gb PS3. But it will take like 1 week so question answered. Want the thread closed ?

but they wont take it surely if the warranty sticker has been removed?

Should of took it apart and sold the blu ray drive like i did .And then i just bought a new 80Gb ps3 xD.

wait, its a 60GB. and i will lose my hard drive no matter what? cuz i couldnt back up any of my games...or rock band songs or ANYTHING. and will i get the 80 GB if i sent a 60GB? cuz i think they will send back a 60.

They will send you a new 40Gb machine with no backwards compat and only two USB port's.There will be a fresh harddrive in there too.
