This is a story related trophy. You will get this when you first face the gorgons. Weaken the first gorgon you face and then follow the mini-game that pops up and you will rip the gorgons head off.

This is a story related trophy. You will get this after defeating "Hades' Guardian" which is a massive Minotaur. Combination of this and Poseidon's rage are my favorite magic abilities in the game.

Matador
Win the first Minotaur fight


You will encounter the first Minotaur when you first get off the boat and go up the elevators. They will be on a bridge. They block a lot but their attacks are easy to see coming so you will know when to block. When they slam their axes on the ground you must jump over the shock wave because you cannot block that. Lastly, you may grab them with when they get weak and then mash to kill them. Killing them this way will give you more health orbs but less experience. Get used to these guys because there are a lot of them.

Scape Goat
Win the first Satyr fight


When you finish all challenges in the Rings of Pandora you will have to line up all of the doors and shoot the beam of light all the way down. After this is done you will have to go up a large elevator. At the top of this you face your first Satyr. They are the goat-like creatures that weird a long weapon with blades at both end and perform all sorts of flips and spins. With these guys you will have to block a lot and grab them with to perform a special move on them. When their health is low, this move will do a finishing move.

Roll Over … and Die
Win the first Cerberus fight


The Cerberus will first be faced during the Challenge of Poseidon. They can be a pain with their little pups that they spit out but for the most part they are not to difficult. You have the option to press when the prompt is shown to remove his two side heads before killing him but you don't have to.

Don’t They Ever Shut Up!
Defeat the Desert Sirens


The Desert Sirens must be defeated to progress in the game. In order to get to the Temple of Pandora you must cross the Desert of Lost Souls which contains three Sirens. You must follow their song in order to find them. When you hear it move in the direction which makes it grow louder. When you do find them they will all have a group of defenders around them. For the rest of the sirens you will go up some stairs, activate the horn, and after the cutscene more will spawn. When down to enough health you can grab them with and smash their face a couple times and then when they get close to death you must grab them with again and Kratos will snap their necks.

Beat a Dead Horse
Complete the Centaur sacrifice to Hades


During the Challenge of Hades inside the Temple of Pandora you will have to kill 8 Centaur's inside of designated circles in order to advance. These can be difficult because they come at you in large groups. When they get weak do not miss the chance to press and finish them off with perhaps the coolest finisher in the game. Make sure when you do this that they are inside the circles or their deaths will not count.

Kickboxer
Complete the Spike Room Box Puzzle


This is another that must be done in order to advance in the story. Once you pull the crank to make the box accessible, quickly grab the box and pull it until you have enough room to jump behind it. Once behind it, charge your push as strong as it goes and release. Run up to the box but DO NOT do a charged push because it will go too far. Get back to the side of the box that lets you pull and pull it diagonally until it is far enough to get past the wall and then move in only an upward direction. Once completely past the wall, push again until the box is almost under the ledge (It does not need to be right under and this saves valuable time. Lastly, jump on the box, jump to the ledge, run across the ledge, jump to the vines, climb the vines, and grab the necklace to complete this puzzle.

Rockin’ the Boat
Complete the Sex Mini-Game


On the boat, after a cutscene, you will be getting out of a bed that has 2 women in it. If you jump on the bed, a prompt will pop up. Press and you will then have to perform a button press mini-game in order to "satisfy" the women. Once you complete the mini-game you will get this trophy.

Don’t Leave Her Hanging
Rescue the Oracle with 10 seconds to spare


This video shows how to do this better than i could explain without being as confusing as I would be. This video looks like it is starting a little way into the challenge but really it starts RIGHT as the timer starts so everything before it you can take your time with.

Get the Ball Rolling
Complete the Challenge of Atlas


This is less of a challenge and more of just a name for one of the sections of the Temple of Pandora. It is made up of just making your way between a few small challenges.

Shield of Hades - After grabbing the shield, the far wall (filled with spikes) will begin moving towards you and A LOT of enemies will drop towards you. This isn't a puzzle, you just have to kill all of the enemies before the wall comes to crush you. On some attempts I have had guys stay along the wall and not come attack me so if it looks like you got them all but the path wont open up go check for that.

Shield of Zeus - After climbing out of the pit, walk towards the little cart with rocks in it. Pull the cart until you get to the intersection and then get behind it and push it down the hallway to the left. A few gorgons will attack you once you get far enough. After killing them it gets tricky. Bring the cart as far is it will go (it will stop at the stairs) towards the raised platform and center it. Get to the platform side of the cart and charge up a push. Release the push and quickly run or roll backwards and you will be taken to the other side of the wall. Kill the enemies behind the wall, climb the ladder, jump across and grab the shield. Now that you have both shields, drop down and put them in the wall to unlock the next path.

Ignore the room with saws in the floor for now

Fall-out Floor - Again, this is less of a puzzle and more of a timed fight. You have to kill all of the enemies in this room before the timer runs out and the floor falls out from under you. The only trick here is to go into it with full magic and use your favorite combos and magic in order to make short work of the enemies. When the floor stops shaking and you are permitted to, walk up to the platform at the end of the room and grab the crank.

Saw Floor - Pull the lever that is near the middle of the room first. Move diagonally towards the lever to the left of the door. Watch for blades as you go across and continue double jumping to get over the blades. Pull the second lever and continue to the door before the bars go back across. If your first try doesn't work it could be simply because the blade pattern was difficult so give it a few more tries and it should be very easy.

Atlas Statue - Place the handle that you found in the other room and place it into the crank in front of the statue. Turn the crank until Atlas is holding the boulder high over his head. To the right of the statue is a path upstairs with some enemies. After killed all enemies in the area go upstairs and pull the lever that stands on the platform facing Atlas. He will release the stone and break open a wall that you must take to continue. Pull off the head of the dead body and you are done the Challenge of Atlas

Totally Baked
Complete the Human sacrifice


You will come to a part where you see cages hanging over you before a ledge. Go up the ramp ahead of you to grab the crank in the room at the top; its on the floor to the right. Pull the crank there and a cage will drop down with a living human inside. Push the cage down and start to move it up the slope. Once you move it far enough enemies will come out of the floor. Try to make it far enough with the cage to stop it with the rock. Continue this process until you get it to the top. Then enter the room, place the cage on the little plate passed the lever, and pull the lever. You will open the door at the end and unlock this trophy.

Splash
Kiss the Nyad


During the challenge of Poseidon you will be underwater and pass a number of Nyads. They are light blue and look like spirits. Grab them with and there is your trophy.

Zero Health= Bronze Trophy
Open a Health Chest when your health meter is already full


Pretty easy to get. The chests that glow green are health chests so when you are full on health open one and this trophy will unlock.

Hitman
Get a 100 Hits Combo


I got this one right when I first got Poseidon's rage. In that room some enemies will spawn. Whack them around for just a few seconds and then use Poseidon's rage to finish this group off. Another group will spawn so use Poseidon's rage again quickly to get these guys too. The reason you hit the first guys a little bit first is so a few of them die quicker and therefore the second group starts to spawn in time. If you don't get it here you can quit to last checkpoint (remembering to pick up the chests outside the stairs if you do this) or wait until the spot where you get the 200 hit combo.

Getting My Ass Kicked
Die enough times to get offered Easy Mode


Easy mode is offered by dying 5 times in a row without making it to a checkpoint. To do this you obviously have to be on Normal difficulty. Although not necessary, you can do this very quickly by simple letting the first guys on the boat kill you 5 times in a row

This is a story related trophy. When you are on the first ships you will have to fight 2 small and 1 large hydra. Defeat all 3 of these and then walk down the large hydra's throat where you will see a guy hanging on for dear life. Press to trigger and in game movie and get this trophy.

Take the Bull by the Horns
Defeat Pandora’s Guardian


Pandora's Guardian must be defeated in order to progress in the story. The best way to to this is to stand on the platform and let him come to you. While he is right in front of you attack him like crazy while also blocking his attacks that you can and rolling away from the ones that you cant. His first 3 parts play out about the same. Attack him for these first three parts until he pulls back, runs away, and charges back. As soon as you do this 4 times (5 times for the 1st part) he while run away and curl in a ball by the door. When he does this, run down and press while right next to him to initiate a button press sequence. After doing this, he will go up against the door in the back of the room. When he does so, you must fire the large bolts at him from the platform you attacked him from. After you have done the above process 3 times his armor will all be off and you will finally be able to see his health bar. When you get his health bar down (using the same attack method as before) you will have to fire yet another bolt at him to finish him off.

God Killer
Kill Ares


Story related. Block Block Block is all the advice I can give you. The middle section in which you must protect your family is the hardest. Save your magic for this section and also whenever you get the chance you can hug them to give them some of your health. I suggest standing right next to them and unleashing all of your magic.

Head Hunter
Obtain the head of the Architect’s wife


This is a story related trophy. You will get this head near the end of Pandora's Temple. It is the head you pull off of the dead body in the architects tomb.

The Power to Kill a God
Retrieve Pandora’s Box


Making your way all the way through Pandora's temple bring this reward. Once again, this trophy is story related. You will know the end of the temple is coming when you must fight archers and harpies while walking along a moving floor.

Hitman 2
Get a 200 Hits Combo


This is easiest during the Challenge of Atlas inside of Pandora's Temple. When you grab the shield of Hades a large number of enemies will spawn. Go all of the way to door blocked by the spirit wall and start unleashing Poseidon's rage one right after another. It is advised to at least have two magic upgrades at this point so that you don't run out of magic. It also does not hurt to have Rage of the Gods full to help out but it is far from necessary.

Both the 100 hit and 200 hit combo are also VERY attainable during the second part of the battle with Ares. I went in with full magic and got around 600 hit combo (1300 on my speed/unlimited magic run) by using Army or Hades and Poseidon's Rage at the same time.

Tip from Daveyhasselhoff: During the same part that I mentioned before it is easier and more fool proof to wait until the second group of enemies drop to start Poseidon's Rage.

Please Read: There have been a lot of posts about the combo trophies and while I do appreciate them they are not needed. Not that my places are the only ones but there are MANY places to get them and I have already posted two places that I found very easy to get them so if people keep posting where they got them that is not necessary.

Legend of the Twins
Watch the ‘Birth of the Beast’ Treasure


This video unlocks after beating the game. After beating the game, select the "treasures" option from the God of War I title screen (not the collection's title screen). Under this option "Birth of the Beast" will be selectable.

Seeing Red
Max out all Weapons and Magic


You may find it hard to beat the game without upgrading your Blades of Chaos at all during your normal run through but you should be able to still beat it without them upgraded on your speed run. I say this because if you do not use any experience towards upgrading your blades, when you beat the game and are given the Blades of Athena, they count as fully upgraded no matter where your Blades of Chaos were at. There are two (and I'm sure there are more) ways to get this.

Options 1: On your playthrough that is not for speed, break anything that you can to gain red orbs. Also, do not run away from any enemies and lose their precious red orbs. Also, there are loads of red orb chests to open in this game so find as many as you can. You should have plenty to upgrade everything. To upgrade, press start, select the power you want to upgrade, and hold . You can find the upgrade costs of everything below. Lastly, do not leave the Rings of Pandora without getting at least 2 Muse Keys and opening the Muse door.

Option 2: When you do your playthrough for speed you are making it harder for yourself if you don't use Dairy Bastard so this way assumes you use it. Do your best in fights that you are forced to fight to get high combos because the high combo bonuses add up faster than you think. I was going to do my run for speed and just save before Ares and then use the infinite orb thing with him (see below) but I found that I didn't need to. By only fighting enemies that you need to kill to unlock a spirit wall (I did fight some groups that I didn't need to but not many) you should rack up enough combos to get enough red orbs for this trophy. Doing it this way I had 40,000 orbs left over after all of my upgrades.

You Got the Touch!

Climb the Spiked Column in Hades without taking damage


This one is not as tough as we first thought. The quickest way to get up the column is to jump up but that risks being hit by the spikes. Take this VERY slow if you have to and don't be afraid to back down if you get to one of the few parts that leaves you nowhere to go. There are a few sections to this column that will travel in opposite directions so be careful near the changes. If you do get damaged just restart to the last checkpoint and keep trying. Also, there are two column you have to travel up in in this section but you only need to get to the top of the first one to get this trophy. The first one is much easier too so it shouldn't take too long.

I’ll Take the Physical Challenge
Complete the Challenge of the Gods


Challenge of the Gods is accessed through the "treasures" option and is only selectable after beating the game. Videos for the challenges are extremely easy to find on Youtube. It has also been brought to my attention that Challenge 10 is MUCH harder without Rage of the Gods so I would suggest saving that for the last challenge.



Speed of Jason McDonald
Beat the game in under 5 hours on any Difficulty


First, do not bother with this on your first playthrough because you will have to search for eyes and feathers and also get enough red orbs to fully upgrade everything; this will also help you learn the game. Next, do this on the easiest difficulty so that when you have parts you must fight the enemies are easier. Also, when you can run away from enemies without having yourself be stopped by a spirit door, do so because you don't have to fight all enemies in the game. The easiest way to take out the enemies you have to face is to use the Dairy Bastard costume which has unlimited magic. Lastly, to travel faster when not fighting enemies I like to use roll ( ) followed by charge ( ) over and over.

If your not sure about if your going to make it in time for the Speed trophy here's the times I had a certain points in the game. It helped my friend know if he had a chance or not so I thought some other people might benefit.

As you can see I had an hour and a half to spare (thanks to Dairy Bastard). It only took me 10 minutes for the final battle so as long as you crawl out of Hades by 4 hours 49 minutes, and so on in reverse, you'll be fine. Also multiple saves at key points, before sirens and Hades etc., will save you from having to start over from scratch if it takes too long to find them or to scale the column, etc.

His guide is a bit weird to follow when he mentions "from the chest above" but it is pretty well organized and from the descriptions they are easy enough to find. After this guide reaches 18 of each it stops detailing where they are. If you miss a couple from his guide (which is hard to do fi you take it slow) there are more than 18 of each so dont worry.

Key to Success
Collect all of the Muse Keys

To be able to open the Muse door and get this trophy you only need 2 keys but there are 4 locations total. After finding 2 the other 2 boxes have red orbs.

Challenge of Atlas - You will have to turn a crank in front of atlas and then go above and pull a lever to release his stone. When you are by the crank, go around to the back of the statue to find the Muse Key.

Challenge of Poseidon - You will come to a puzzle in which the floor is rotating and there are spike rooms off to the side. When you leave this puzzle, there will be a climbing section. At the top, to continue, you must go left but if you go right there is a chest with another Muse Key

Challenge of Poseidon - You will HAVE TO go underwater for this challenge. After you come to the first Nyad you will come to a part where you can go left, right, or break through a wall straight ahead of you for a second Nyad. At this intersection, go left and you will come into a room with a few enemies. Beat these enemies and then break the wall in the back of the room. Now break the vases and you will find a chest containing another Muse Key at the end.

Challenge of Hades - When on the balance beams on which you have to avoid the spinning blades you reach a point where you have to slide down a rope to reach the exit. Before leaving, follow the beam to the right and you will find another Muse Key. If you have followed this guide in order, Key to Success should now be awarded!
