Borderlands is one of the best selling games in the last years. Now Gearbox has officially confirmed that there might be a Borderlands 2 sooner or later. Call it a "official rumor" If you like but im really sure they will do this. Now as they wont make any more DLCs to Borderlands

At the moment gearbox said that making a direct sequel to such a sucsessfull game is a "no brainer" They will clearly instead make a new game based on the same "setting?" as Borderlands.

So its rumored that There wont be a game named Borderlands 2. But instead a BorderWorlds? Who knows, only time can tell.

I <3'd the 1st Borderlands but I wish they had added some sort of online game modes (DeathMatch, SnD etc.)

First was is one of my all time favorites. Can't wait for this.
