Wanted: Weapons of Fate, was an easy platinum for me. I got it in 2days.
Uncharted 1 & 2 are also fairly easy to platinum.
Prince of Persia (the 2008 one)
Assassin's Creed 2.
There's a lot of easy trophies in Little Big Planet, Quantum of Solace, Resident Evil 5, Mirror's Edge, Resistance 2 and inFamous.

The trophies he doesn't have are most likely the DLC trophies. You don't need the DLC trophies to get the platinum in any game.
