Yes it still works for some ppl like me and my mate
and it takes like 5 mins for badge to show in leaderboads

I just seen the video, you have to click enter prestige then wait 2 seconds.
And then pull the internet cable out?
I thought when you hit enter prestige you go straight into the next prestige very fast.
And that is that, I live in the USA if that makes any difference too.
So I click Enter Prestige and 1,2 very fast and pull out cable?
Then power of the ps3 and put back in cable and power up the ps3?
Anything Im missing here?
Also the 2nd video shows at one part he didnt pull cable out fast enough.
He said he luckily used his save data as a backup? You can do that?
And where is my save data at? I thought thats a game save not related to online stats.

this glitch is patched, i already did it 4 like 20 people, but now when i do it it doesnt work so yea it must have been patched

basically what u do is after u press enter prestiege u wait 2 secs (1, 2) then rip out the ethernet cable, straight after u remove the cable u hold the front button until it turns off, now keep your ps3 turned off for 10 secs, then insert the ethernet cable, NOW TURN THE PS3 BACK ON. (MAKE SURE U PUT THE CABLE BACK IN BEFORE U TURN IT ON!), now just go back on the game and repeat
