im pretty sure it only works on the 60gb and 80gb PS3. I tried on my 40gb like 100 times, timing perfect, did everything right, just didnt work. is there another way to do the glitch besides the ethernet and the save data way?

Yes it still works,

there are just methods that work for some users that dont for others. u need to find ur own method that works for you.Smile^

its ok for me cuz wen i get my new ps3 and my new COD5 il have to get from rank 51 to rank 65 (3rd prestige) and il get my friend the ORIGINAL founder of the glitch and the first person to put it on utube,to do it for me... il tell u my results as soon as its done! Happy
