Haxor!
I usually scan for my inernet as i don't use ethernet connection and i did the following:
went to prestige
count 1 and two after clciking prestige
signed out via the xmb by pressing the ps button
then turned of my ps3 via the power button at the front
then turned it back on and went to COD
but still at level 65
what should i do?
ps: i am not on any prestige just the level 65 before the 1st prestige.

yo can unplug your Ethernet cable from the wireless router you have that works good. then you turn off the ps3 by the touch power button. then when it turns off you plug back your connection to ur wireless router. then turn on your ps3 then keep repeating.

you did it wrong and i think you took too much time to unplug the Ethernet cable. im pretty sure you have done something wrong.

i just prestiged to 10th prestige and it works fine wirelessly no need to have ethernet cable in.
Heres what i did:
1. Went to prestige (NOTE I ON JUST 65 NO PRESTIGE)
2. Clicked prestige and counted to 2 seconds like watching the clock tick
2. Then pressed the off button my router (ADSL ROUTER)
3. Then sign came up "No internet connection detected"
4. Turned PS3 off from switch at front
5. Then turned router on and waited till internet light was red
6. Turned PS3 on and waited until signed in
7. Loaded COD 5
8. Skipped intro
7. Went to multiplayer but waited until it read hdd
8. Prestiged too next level
