The problem.

• Lag online, 1 bar connection on all multiplayer games.
  

Ye so thats my problem, this wasnt a previous problem one month ago, i used to have 3bar, or full all time on all games. But now for unknown reasons my connection is this constantly i have no idea how to fix it, is this a problem maybe with my playstation?

The reason i believe this is a playstation problem is because my laptop, ipod touch run smoothly and great online, i type in google on my laptop shot on the page instantly, ipod is fast aswel when using it.

So, i thought that having these connected was the problem, so i disconnected the ipod from the wifi -Settings - Turn wifi off. And do not go on my laptop when playing playstation so its turned off.

So i believe it must be the playstation.. So please is there something i can do with settings or tips.. I always had 3bar connection but now it has pretty much f**ked up.

I believe it has nothing to do with your Playstation; it's your internet connection.

If it's happening on Black Ops, it could either be your connection, or Treyarch's purposely bad server. Both of these are most likely the problem.

I been told, to delete everything off your PS3 u dont need or want. Like messages, songs, games saves from games you dont play, old patches, and demos. Hopefully u find a better answer if mine is no help.

Also try putting router and PS3 in DMZ and open Call of duty ports and try to hard wire PS3 to router. It prob a router issue.

I will try this, sounds plausable i have loads of movies, music and stuff on my ps3 thanks .

1) delete all messages in your sent and recieved messages make sure you put a lock on the ones you want to keep

2) try resetting your internet

3) if your using dial up then its your crap internet

I had this problem when i bought my PS3 with black ops on monday what i did was go on You must login or register to view this content. and went to the FAQ section and it sujested port forwarding on your router.



This sorted out my problem give it a go and it might work for you aswell.

Thanks i appreciate that but it has actualy fixed by me simply removing movies, music etc from my ps3. Something so simple, im confused how this has an impact on my online connection but it did, so i removed two albums, 4 movies, and now 3bar? Weird, but thanks for your comment

Could be anything......
Could be your router ok i guess that the first place i would look
Or ISP may be doing work so the routes it taking are rubbish

Or
Could be due to you using wireless
Port forward or DMZ
