Well, I've had 2 PS3 60GB's break on me and the fact the failure rate is like 100% in PS3 60GB after 3 years.
Yeh it should be worth more as technically it should be as good as new, none of that temporary heat gun crap.
I wouldn't sell it, its by far the best PS3 out there and they're really rare! They look the best and have the most features.
I'm getting my replacement PS3 from Sony reballed somehow, I'm not getting another refurbished crap from them. Also isn't it possible to use the new CPU and GPU from the Slim, they gave off much less heat.

Where you totally take the CPU and GPU off, clean them and the motherboard and then reapply them with new solder. Technically it should be as good as new from the factory.
The temporary heat gun trick is crap and only good for backing up or transferring the data to a new PS3.
would that fix freezing in games and fix graphic glitches? or ylod
